Outdoor workers are exposed to many types of hazards. What you will see in nature depends on the type of work, geographic region, season and duration of time workers spend outside.

Snakes and spiders are just two types of animal and insect hazards that you may come across while working outside. There are also poisonous plants. Many people have had unpleasant experiences with poison ivy and/or poison oak, or possibly even from poison sumac.
